a "Sweet Encounter" - Haroseth

This is a delicious hearty dessert I found in Dr. Colbert's book "What would Jesus eat?"!
I served it at one of our "Sweet Encounter" meetings. It was a huge hit and yummy too!

Haroseth is a common dish served at Passover and represents the mortar that the Hebrew slaves used in building Pharaoh's pyramids.

Haroseth

so easy to make...

3-6 chopped apples
1-3 cups chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans etc)
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped dates
1 tsp. cinnamon
Toss all ingredients together
Blend approx 3 cups of red seedless grapes
into a high powered blender.
Pour over apple mixture and enjoy!

PS. We have MOVED BLOG SITES so come on over for a "Fresh Encounter"!
